Day at the Zoo

Lily did not like posing this picture. The sounds coming from the elephant terrified her!

Checking out the ground hogs.

Any place with water is sure to be a hit with Lily.

Hogle Zoo or the rain forest? Johnny and I took Lily to the zoo Wednesday. Now that Johnny is graduated (or will be tomorrow!), it will be nice to have more time for family outings! Lily loved the animals and we heard her say, "Get it! Get it!" more than a few times.

Lily was so excited when she saw the carousel. She and Johnny picked out this animal (cross between a zebra/giraffe/horse?) to ride on.

Happy Birthday Mom!

This week we celebrated my mom's 50th birthday! It was fabulous because we were actually able to see her almost every day. On Monday I took my mom to the Loving for Eden concert at Cottonwood High School (Kurt Bestor, Colors, Ryan Shupe and the Rubber Band, Paul Cardall, Peter Breinholt, etc.). Very fun to visit my old high school and, of course, the company was excellent. I remember going to lots of LDS artists' concerts as a child so it was great to be able to take my mom to one, too!

On Wednesday, her birthday, we all got together to celebrate! We had fantastic hamburgers at Five Burgers and Fries and then went back to the house for cake, ice cream, and Aaron's fun board games.

Mom Mom (as Lily calls her) and the grand kiddies.

Ally and Grandma. Little Miss Ally has really come out of her shell this week. I have never seen so many cute smiles!

A rare moment of peaceful, cousin bonding.

St. George Trip

Lily and I traveled down south with my mom and Ada to a dance competition in St. George. It was a last minute decision and we had a lot of fun! With Ada being the only one dancing we had lots of free time and we were able to have fun watching her at the competition, too. Unfortunately, I somehow missed getting pictures of the competition, but I did get some of the other things we did.
