Menu Plan Monday

With a new baby on the way, I am making more efforts to become better organized. I realized that if I am this scatter brained with one - I am going to be in trouble with two! For about a month I have been doing weekly menu planning with the help of orgjunkie.com and savvyshoppdeals.com. I am happy to say that we are eating better and, surprisingly, for much cheaper! Planning our meals around the weekly sales has been pretty fun. For the first time I stuck to our food budget and we've actually started to build our food storage. I decided to put my weekly meal plan on line (if only for the easiness of having all the links in one place). Undoubtedly, we probably won't stick to it 100 percent, but I'll let you know what we like!

Breakfast
Honey Nut Cheerios and Strawberries
Oatmeal
Toast and scrambled eggs and yogurt
Tropical Banana Nut Parfait

Lunch
Egg Salad Sandwich
Zesty Corn Quesadilla
Rice and Lentils
Sante Fe BLT

Dinner
Stove Top Easy Brunch Casserole
Peach/Strawberry Fruit Pizza with Veggie Eggs and Bacon
Stawberry/Mozzarella Salad with Seasoned Chicken
Cheeseburger Pizza (we love this one and it is slightly healthier than it sounds)
Pasta and Vegetables with Cilantro Sauce

You're so on top of it! Thanks for sharing. Maybe now I can get on top of my meals and stop making Wendy's runs :)

Hi Tara! Fun to hear from you. I started looking into menus at Christmas time, but I've yet to do anything about it. Wahoo, I'll check it out here.

I'm so glad you're interested in the reading program. I am SO exctited about it. I'll do a post about this soon, but I've actually started a new blog about it. (Haven't said anything yet since I barely have anything on there.) www.usingdoman.blogspot.com

Also, I'm going to a conference in PA in March-I am SO excited!! I'd love to know your experiences with it in your family!

I must say, you have inspired me. Actually, you inspired me a while back when you said you got a whole bunch of Albertson's groceries for about 2 bucks, but now I am completely sold. Last weekend I didn't throw away the ads in the mail and saved $50 at Safeway! Go figure, it works!! I looked at the savvy shopper page, but I think that's for Utah only...I'll have to find something for this area. Another good menu website I found that I really like (great recipes and well balanced - includes side dish ideas!) is menus4moms.com. Thanks!
